Waiting

Sitting by the sidelines,
just waiting to play the game.

Sometimes it seems like I am stuck here forever.
I have been waiting,
for at least a lifetime or maybe two.

Sitting on the wayside.
Feeling lost in what I do.

But I am waiting,
I know it will come through.

I don't have all the questions, because,
I know you have the answers,

I am sitting by the sidelines
waiting for you to come by

How will I know when I see you?
The answer lives in my heart.

The same reason that kept me waiting,
will show me when I have found you.

That day is now today,
I know you are here,
I have found you in my heart.

Today, I am no longer waiting
