Darkness and Light

Caught alone, travelling in the dark
I stood still as the light came in front of me.

What was this brightness and what was the dark
Where was I
What road was I on?

The light came closer and light my world.
Suddenly without notice a spark landed on me and light my heart.
My light began to shine
First with a flicker, then a burning flame.

The darkness soon was gone and here I was
Surrounded by light I could see again
What was this beauty before me
How bright was she.

My heart was where I was
the dark was the ashes of love destroyed
How dark was that dark
How bright is that light.

The road has always been the same,
I was always walking my journey
I never stopped, even though I couldn't see my way
I sensed the right direction and followed my heart.

God sent me an Angel
to be with me on my way

He said this Angel is brighter,
she will walk with you on your way
Her light will help guide you
You will never lose your way

Your faithfulness to me
has brought this woman to you
Cherish her always
I've entrusted her heart to you

I know you will not disappoint me
Your heart is steadfast and faithful
You have proven yourself faithful

I give you my treasure,
this heart of many treasures
is yours alone.

Keep your eyes always on me,
feel my love for both of you

Then suddenly I realized,
what I must do.
I will take this woman with me
and love her like I do

She is my equal,

Now I see we are together
Happiness at last,
